Youth Seminar in Nakuru a Success!

Thursday, May 7, 2009

On the first weekend of April this year hundreds of youth from all over the Nakuru District came together for a wonderful youth seminar. Throughout the weekend there were games, lessons, singing, dancing, and all sorts of enjoyable activites. It was a great time, it was so fun to see all those young people in The Salvation Army learning, playing, dancing, and giving thier lives to God together. The scouts were very impressiveas well! Unfortunately, the seminar had to end on Sunday. There was a passionate open air meeting complete with a band and gospel dance, and a Sunday Service which followed a long march and crusade on Saturday night. At the crusade Captain Khayumbi gave a powerful alter call and a police official even came to give a speech on peace! Hopefully, the youth went back to their homes with some more understanding about God and what it means to be a Christian, and will stay true to the committments they made during the weekend. God bless Nakuru District as they seek to serve and witness for Jesus!
