Delegate to Represent Kenya East in London and Denmark!

The Kenya East Territory is very proud to announce that Clorouce Mijide Musasia from Nairobi Division has been selected by the General of The Salvation Army as one of only 26 delegates from territories around the world to attend the 'Time to be Holy 458' and 'Time to Serve 24-7' pre-convention events in England and Denmark leading up to the World Youth Convention in Sweden next year! The following is an excerpt from the mail received at THQ with the announcement, along with a small description of what she will be doing:

Dear Commissioner,

It is my pleasure to inform you that Clorouce Mijide Musasia has been chosen to take part in the 'Time to Be holy 458' and 'Time to serve 24-7' events taking place prior to the World Youth Convention in Stockholm 15 - 18 July 2010. Clorouce is one of 26 delegates approved by the General to attend these two pre-convention events.

The schedule for the delegates will be as follows:

Monday 21. June - Monday 5. July

'Time to be Holy 458'
London, Center for Spiritual Life Development, ICO.
The name is taken from song number 458 in the Songbook (English). Included in this event is a lecture by the General, other challenging speakers, practical applications of spiritual discipline, worship at local corps, trip to Army sites, tour of London, and exciting cross cultural fellowship.

Monday 5. July - 12. July

'Time to Serve 24-7'
Copenhagen, Denmark. From the website, "Salvationist have the 'smell of the streets on them' and the 26 delegates who will be part of the Time to Serve 24-7 event in Copenhagen, Denmark, will prove that this description of Salvationism is true for them."
This event will include street evangelism and outreach, open-air meetings, visit to music camp for young members of The Salvation Army in Denmark, visit to camps for socially disadvantaged families, tour of Copenhagen, support and appreciation of the Army's work in Denmark, and much more!

Monday 12. July - Wednesday 14. July

Stockholm Sweden. Meet with the Swedish 'Time to Serve 24-7' team. The Swedish team will be on the streets of Stockholm during the World Youth Convention.

Thursday 15. July - Sunday 18. July

World Youth Convention. 'Aula Magna', University of Stockholm.


We are all very proud of her and know she will represent Kenya East wonderfully and bring back many new ideas and ways to grow spiritually to share with the whole Territory.
